In most cases 6 am on a Saturday will be quieter than 6 am on a weekday as you won't get many business travellers. But if it's a Bank Holiday week-end, or the beginning of the school holidays, things could be different. I once made the mistake of travelling from LHR on the Saturday of the February half-term holiday, and it was like a zoo. (Not having children I didn't realise it was half-term...)
Saturday the 28th, is that a holiday in the UK?

Which hotel are you at? The Holiday Inn Express Swiss Cottage? If so, tube to Paddington is an option as the hotel is 100 yards from the tube.
Yep, that's the hotel. I've stayed there before and took the tube all the way out to Heathrow, granted, it was for an afternoon flight and time wasn't an issue. If we do HEX, might as well use our Travelcard (Saturday will be the last day it's valid) and take the tube to Paddington and catching the HEX there, but it sounds like taking the tube all the way out to LHR should leave us plenty of time.
