My wife doesn't fly much and doesn't have a FF number / program. She is planning on travelling soon and I'd like to find out if I can book her miles to my AA account. Is that possible?

Also, if I subsequently want to purchase award tickets with the miles I've accumulated can I use my miles to buy her a ticket or just me?

I emailed AA but it's been a week with no reply. Would have thought it's a pretty easy question.
