I had wave front lasik in Singapore last year and can honestly say it's the best investement I have ever made.

Since I was 4 or 5 I wore glasses or contacts, I couldn't remember what it was like to wake up and be able to see. I was extremely nervous/cautious about the surgery but now my only regret is not doing it sooner.

I paid about SGD$4000 - approx GBP 2k but this was for the best procedure and machines etc. - if you are going to do it, do it right...

I had -6.75 in both eyes, had 15mins of slight discomfort during the procedure and then went home, mild pain for a few hours before bedtime, popped a sleeping tablet and woke up the next morning with 20:20 vision.

Surgeon told me to use comfort drops for about a month to stop the eyes getting dry and post that (touch wood) I've experienced no issues, just the very liberating feeling that comes with freedom from glasses/lenses.
