I have to take exception to this observation. Just traveled SFO ZRH on UA metal via FRA, enjoyed upper deck, lie flat 747 pleasure for me and the mrs, 3500.00 per person, all in. That's a good deal, worth every penny. UA did a great job both ways.
Did not find Swiss lounge in ZRH or the tower lounge in FRA to be "sub standard", and we even enjoy the RCC at SFO international terminal!
