As a qualified eyecare professional I can only agree with PUCCI GALORE - Moorfields full stop.
Firstly be aware that regression can happen and is most likely the higher your prescription is. Ask the consultant to explain the limitations - don't get caught up in the hype.
If you are of a certain age and either have varifocals or take your eyeglasses off to read (due to presbyopia) you will need reeding glasses post surgery. In fact you will still need reading glasses in the future even if you aren't of a certain age yet.
Lastly take your time - ask the surgeon questions. The "High Street" clinics and I include Harley Street here may not give you time enough with the consultant.
This is not a TV or a car you are buying so a cheap deal is not the best deal.
BTW I have not had it done myself but have been able to have it FOC if I should so wish. I successfully wear contact lenses and have twenty pairs of glasses all kinds and like them as a fashion accessory.
