I figured I'd get my obligatory extra 250 EQM and 0.5 EQS for the SFO-SNA rebook. However, the flight credited to my OP account today for only the standard mileage and 1 EQS. I'm not sure if it makes any difference, but I did get the UDU to F on that segment, but that shouldn't affect the underlying booking code, right?
I can't pull up the itinerary anymore on .bomb and even if I could, only the upgraded NF would show anyways. It is probably not worth fighting about the 250 EQM/0.5 EQS (although it would drive down the cpm of the MR just a bit), but is this something where CO is smarter and knows to give me only credit for my original G fare?
As a possible side note that may relate. After I got rebooked, I went to the CSR desk to see where I stood on the upgrade list (didn't expect anything). To my surprise, I was the only one on the list and after a lot of keyclicks, she handed me an F BP. Could she have pushed me out of Y at the same time?
These type of rebooking changes are booked into Y, but when the flt is credited, it's at the original booking class. Very rarely, it ends up being credited into 'Y' -- but that is the exception, not the rule. You know that you
booked (& paid) a G fare, so you shouldn't expect anything more than what you were properly credited!
