And that's a perfectly fine justification for making it a hub.

But it isn't a perfectly fine justification for making it Delta's largest hub, by far, considering that a vast majority of Delta's traffic is connecting through ATL rather than originating from/arriving at.

Considering ATL's historic on-time issues, weather delay issues, and generally unappealing terminals (cramped spaces, busy, frequent gate changes), you'd think Delta would want to lift some burden off an ailing Hartsfield Airport.

But alas, that would be logical, wouldn't it?
