In the Netherlands this is now very commonplace. Around E900/E1200 per eye in the better places. I know quite a few people who have had this done and all turned out perfectly fine. Newest of the newest; you can now have your lenses replaced (like with cataract surgery) by a bi-focal lens so you can correct for everything. Cost around E 4500 for two eyes.
