IME, most of these offers have some or the other kind of restrcitive rules, but still sometimes folks can manage to save some money since it may suit them
IIRC, last year I took some ibibo offer getting about inr 800 discount on total tickets worth about inr 8000, so a 10% discount which was quite decent IMO..
