I had LASIK on both eyes 9 years ago.
My prescription at the time was -5.5 & 5. I cant remember exactly how much it cost but I think it was around £1200, I think the price may vary depending on how long they need to use the laser on each eye, my left eye needed 2 seconds less with the laser than the right. I had no problem with the procedure and woke up the next day and could see perfectly. I still have very near perfect vision but was advised that with age I will probably need reading glasses the same as most people.
After my success my Father-in-Law did go and see the same surgeon but was advised that due to his age it was likely that the results would not be as successful.
