There was quite an interesting feature about this on
Watchdog last week. They got Optical Express to admit that the price per eye you see is only if you have a prescription of between 0 and +/-2. However people that went into store were told different prices despite being within these ranges.
I'm not sure we know the long term side effects yet, and it's possible you won't end up with perfect vision, or still require reading glasses, which may annoy me more than just wearing contacts, if I had to carry specs around for some of the time.
