Minos, my apologies if it feels as though you're getting slammed for this, my own post above was more responding to what danielonn wrote above me.

That said, if I'm reading your second post correctly, you're saying that a Hotwire ad claimed that you could get a rental car in PIT for five nights in the late summer for $19.95 per day, and you have yet to find that rate actually available?

Or is the ad less specific than that?

Advertising is largely misleading by throwing in verbiage like "As low as" and "Rates may vary by availability". I'm sure somewhere, some specific time, for some class of car you could find the $19.95, but it might not be for the exact specifications you are looking for. Unfortunately it's a common practice in advertising...
