That's wonderfully ironic: it's exactly what I mean.
Two examples:
HKG-AKL (with CX): take the later flight ex-HKG and sunrise will be over CNS, with a 1130 local arrival in AKL. Having come all the way from LHR, I wanted to be hitting the ground running with my body clock in sync with NZ time, but oh no! The CX crew felt the need to give me a go because I'd dared to open my blinds with sunrise at what was effectively 0700-ish NZ time!
LHR-BOM (with BA): take the night time dept ex-LHR and sunrise is over Iran, a few hours before the lunchtime arrival in BOM. Cue me opening my blind because I wanted to sync with Indian time; cue b*llocking from BA steward who said I must close my blind immediately - I asked if it was due to a security or safety issue and he said "no, it's because people are sleeping and so you must close it". Didn't want to get into an argument, but a complaint was filed post-flight.
