Right. From the beginning until now, Government subsidies built this country. Sure.
Try calculating federal fuel taxes, tire taxes, and other such airline excise taxes, airport fees, taxes to support FAA activites, now TSA activities, taxes on citizens to pay for all that stuff not paid for by those other fees, which taxes DECREASES discretionary income, representing money sent to government and no longer available for use in traveling BY AIRCRAFT.
Better to have Quonset hut terminals than the expensive new ones that cannot now be afforded. They'll make nice ruins I guess.
