Just wondering what is the best thing to do about a mobile phone in Egypt. I have been told to either;
1. Take a phone with Mobile Roaming. It's supposed to be expensive to text/SMS/call within Egypt but all your problems are solved?
2. Take a Tri-Band Phone and buy a Sim Card in Egypt.
3. Purchase a Cheap Prepaid Phone in Egypt.

I am not very phone savvy and just want a phone that I can use to make texts/SMS within Egypt and also be able to ring/text home to Australia without too much cost. A prepaid phone would be preferable.

Can someone please help me with suggestions? What is the easiest and least expensive way to go?
