If I remember correctly it was an on departure upgrade at MNL. Possible that the CX ground staff at MNL just wanted to get the flight out. Of course the whole problem could easily have been solved by simply swapping seats on board. Not sure why that didn't happen, but the judgment is searchable online on the HK judiciary website for those who are interested.
