Not saying that $10.00 isn't a good price for 1,200 miles but I sure wasn't expecting the price to be bumped to cover the cost of the miles.
I always think of these deals as buying miles and getting some free flowers. I did the CO deal this year at 50 miles per $1. I'd like to buy CO miles at 1cpm and would be prepared to spend up to 1.6cpm to buy them. So basically I figured half the money was going for the miles and the other half for the flowers.
I am not surprised by the mark up they have to find the money to fund the 50 miles per dollar rebate. Even wholesale I am pretty sure that is costing them 25-50 cents to provide
