TSA has two schools of thought on this. One says all solo pilots need to be screened so they cannot carry WEI on board and hijack the plane. The other says all solo pilots should be armed FFDOs to defend themselves from hijack attempts. A $15 million Rand study has been ordered to clarify this matter.
