Just booked a stay at the WeHo for a Tuesday night. Seems like the property has received some negative reviews from FTers, but many of those were from 2009/2010. Has anybody been here recently, and if so, how was your stay? Any specific perks for a Diamond? I was a Plat during my last Andaz stay (London), so I am unaware of what to expect. As far as an upgrade, would it be worth using some points to upgrade? I'll be going with a friend, so a bigger room would be nice.
Just got back from a one-night stay at the Andaz WeHo - used one of our expiring suite upgrade certs to upgrade to an Andaz suite. The suite itself was very nice, with a huge living room and 2 bathrooms (although each bathroom was disappointingly small). The gym was undergoing maintenance today but we spent our time at the Pool and had it all to ourselves. Breakfast at RH was nice, although I miss the pre-buffet days.
Diamonds get a choice between 1000 points and a $15 F&B credit as the amenity, apart from free breakfast (buffet + eggs) at RH. The usual upgrade (without the suite upgrade cert) is to a View King, and I really like those rooms (they are a fairly decent size). The suites are also real nice and worth upgrading to.
