My SO is sitting in IAD waiting on a delayed flight to LHR. Last I heard from her they are not providing much information (mechanical) and the board reads closed - not any additional information.

Ok, everyone wants the plane to be fixed but it is the lack of communication that is the problem. On the UA site it is showing aircraft servicing and a 9:00 pm departure (more than two hours late). Do EU rules apply to US aircraft en route to EU cities?
