I don't mean to dissuade you from the RC-KB. I've been there perhaps half a dozen times. As long as there isn't a conference there, you'll be fine. Book a room category at least one above the lowest and you won't have the view issues...and use FHR or a Ritz preferred agent and you'll get a further upgrade.
