I read Trip Advisor quite often. I often wish I (as a reviewer) could respond to other reviewers publicly.....some of their complaints are just plain dumb.
I think you can rate the review as helpful (or not).. The most helpful ones will have many commenting positively

I think people can look past the unwarranted complaints. I certainly do. How a hotel responds on TA to reviews also tells me a lot about the property.
I certainly look past the negative reviews.. unless it becomes such that many are complaining about the same thing.
