Seat selection is available from 90 days prior to departure so it should be possible for both.
As pointed out by KL895 it is worth trying the AF website as well as that sometimes does the trick.
Otherwise you can always call KLM to get it sorted. Normally once they have given you a seat it is possible for you to change it online.
