I would definitely pay more for a flex fare then provided the difference was nominal. If it is too big a difference it would be cheaper to buy the extra miles @ 2.5 cents.

Also i have had a bad experience before when i was on a saver fare and wanted to change my flight and the fare difference was pretty astronomical if i wanted to change my return date so i was better off sticking to the original date!
