I transferred a couple hundred thousand miles to Delta recently and a line item for "MEM RWDS AIRLINE TAX OFFSET FEE" just showed up on my bill. I don't recall the representative telling me of this fee before I transferred the miles. Has anyone else has a similar experience, and has anyone had any luck getting the fee removed?

It's not about the amount of the charge, its the fact that I was never told about this before transferring the miles.
