Unless you can check the winds and runway(s) in use at each destination and then change your seat accordingly, it's a toss up.
Based on personal experience of a few of those mentioned:
MIA - usually landings to the east, so a right side from PLS will give (very) distant views of the city. If landing westerly 26 or 27 the city is on the left, but a PLS flight may use 30 in which case right side is better. Not very helpful, I know.
LAS - usually land to the West (25) in which case most of the strip won't be visible until after landing. Possible use of 01 (north), left side excellent view although you'll see the same thing from the right side when taxiing. Landing 19 is less common in which case it's the reverse of 01 obviously. The best views are from the left side landing on the 07s but that doesn't happen too often. On balance then - left side.
LAX -
almost certainly landing to the West unless there's a Santa Ana blowing. Downtown LA will be on the right.
SYD - left side 90% of the time.
DEL - right side on departure for the Himalayas.
DXB - right side.
ATH - new airport is too far from the city to see anything really.
Don't know if any of that helps or just adds to the confusion
