I do hate to burst your bubble but it's exceptionally difficult to know which side of the aircraft will be best for sights upon takeoff and landing as take-off directions are very dependent on weather conditions. Your best bet might be to ask at the airport which direction the plane is taking off in (if the check-in agents even know...) and ask to be reseated accordingly.
