For years, I travelled with a 22' wheely-dealy bag. Occasionally I would have to put the bag in sideways, which bothered my conscience. I really struggled with down-sizing to a 20", but it seemed the prudent decision. I am happy I did. My bag slides in the bin so easily and I feel confident that if there were a bag sizing check at the gate, my bag would be fine. I purchased the Travelpro Crew 7 for a little under $100 at Macys. I have also changed my packing style, I now roll my clothes, this has been a great decision.
