Had occasion to use Hertz #1 Club Gold at LAX in June this year, previously had used Alamo at LAX (had contact for upgrades).

When we got off the shuttle the car was in the first bay of the #1 Club Gold pick-up right where the shuttle stopped. Carried the bags about 10 feet put them in the boot (trunk, sorry) and drove to the exit, paper work all in order and off we went, total time from drop off to street about 10 minutes (would have been less if I was familiar with the car, a Lincoln Town Car). No hassle!
