Thanks so much for that link. It appears as if we have only been charged tolls on ONE day for a total of $3.00. Then they charged $40 (!) for the eToll "Convenience Fee" for a 4-week rental. This is outrageous.

Now looking at my receipts from that period, our transponder did not charge us for tolls that one day that the Avis eToll kicked in for the $3.00 in tolls, but all the other days of our 4-week trip we did pay for tolls on our own transponder.

Will we be able to dispute the excess of $37.50 based on evidence that our own transponder was working for the entire 4-week period, other than that one day? I am willing to pay the tolls for the day that our transponder didn't take them, plus the "convenience fee" of $2.50 for that day. But I cannot accept a the remaining $37.50 - this is just absurd.
