Not to be nit picky, but the mileage bonus for buying a first or business ticket won't get you to status any faster. The higher EQP/EQM rate for said tickets may get you to status faster, as long as you don't also frequently fly deep discount tickets in addition to your paid premium cabin travel; the bonus miles earned by buying more expensive tickets are not elite qualifying. If you buy half your tickets in paid F and half in economy booked into Q or some other deep discount fare bucket, your paid F won't get you to status any faster at all, because you'll be earning more than 1 EQP per EQM on the F tickets, but less than 1 EQP per EQM on the economy tickets, which will end up balancing out.
