So I have a gold card on Virgin (courtesy of Black Amex card).

I want to go to Boston next week so thought I would give VS a try again as was once a real GCH a long time back.

Fare is ok and flight wide open in all classes (O bucket and N bucket) so figure the flight is reasonably empty. Check seatmap on Expertflyer and no seats available to book on out or return. Did an online chat session and was told that even as a GCH I have to take my chances at OLCI ???

Is this for real ? I am a GCH on BA and everyone moans about not being able to allocate a seat until T-24 unless they want to pay but Gold and Silver members can allocate whenever they want. Is Virgin really worse than this ???

If VS wont allocate me a seat as a GCH they can go swing
