As an update - I did call the DM desk and they fixed it - the new version was D/D with the 150% MQM bonus.

The problem is with the chart - it shows FARE CLASS as the criterion and the term FARE CLASS PURCHASED. The H/WNUP is not a fare class, it is a booking class code. The FARE class is what shows up on your itinerary and your boarding pass, not the booking code on the receipt.

There are a lot of FARE CLASSES but even more booking codes. A single FARE CLASS may have two or three or even more booking codes.

This thing about "instant upgrades" that are described as H booking codes and coach with an upgrade but labeled as A, P, D, I, S fare classes are eligible to accrue the bonus MQMs and a call to Delta will get it fixed.

This is particularly evident when you force a booking into an H and get a price that is less than a P, D, or A. I'd call.
