I haven't been to Hilton Buffalo Thunder, but can comment about the location. Neither is actually in Santa Fe. The Hyatt Tamaya is south of Santa Fe and between Santa Fe and Albuquerque. The Hilton Buffalo Thunder is north of Santa Fe.

If your wanting to relax at a resort the Tamaya is a good place for that, Buffalo Thunder looks to be as well. If you are wanting a place in Santa Fe, neither is convenient without transportation.
