That being said, if you make the effort to ask for another drink or something it will be served politely and quickly.
If you can view the lounge staff as more of a restaurant hostess than a waitress you can understand my scenario better.
When there are a few more customers around, its very easy to catch the attention of the staff as they mill about seating and serving other guests.

+1. In an environment where you're the only guest (happened to me a couple times on the F side), you need be a bit more proactive in your engagement with the lounge staff. Although once you get their attention, they are as professional and courteous as can be.

I write this from the LHR *A F lounge which has absolutely zero service to speak of. It's all relative I guess.
