I stopped in at the Hampton in Matteson, IL to ask something and noticed a placard at the desk saying "Manager's Reception Tonight."

I asked the clerk and he said on Wednesdays (since it's a slow night there) that have free semi-dinner plus adult beverages from 5:30-7:00, almost like an Embassy Suites. Tonight it's steak/cheese or chicken quesadillas.

Are there other Hamptons doing this? I could get used to that.
