Sorry, old boy, but I disagree with you. BA have stated in their conditions that the same penalties that apply to the fare also apply to the fuel surcharge, which is the bulk of the 'taxes' in this case. The OP will get almost nothing back and depending on his or her financial position it might not even be worth the claim.

I think that your company has an interesting business idea though, one that I have not seen before, a bit like ambulance chasing. Very enterprising. ^

I only hope though that unlike as with ambulance chasers this kind of practice does not push up the costs for the rest of us.
