764 Y (ATL-CDG 2007) - Much better AVOD, better overhead storage (pivot bins), better legroom (not seat pitch, but legroom).

A333 Y (ATL-FCO 2010) - Older AVOD (really grainy screen, easy to bump controller, dramatically smaller music selection), less overhead storage (similar to two-seat side of MD-88), legroom in seats A, D, F, J seriously reduced by AVOD equipment.

I did not notice the 764 hard seat, but I defiantly notice the 763 exit row hard seat. I sat in 29A (exit row) on the A333 from ATL-FCO, and it was great (slept the whole trip). Friendly PMDL FAs contributed to the superior experience. I sat in 24J on the return (awake the whole trip) and it was miserable. Rude PMNW FAs contributed to the miserable experience.

I always prefer a window seat for long international overnight trips in Y. However the legroom in the A333 is too bad for that if not in an exit row. I only can recommend aisle seats in the A333 unless DL upgrades the AVOD and removes the underseat boxes.
