You should be entitled to a refund. The $275 charge would only apply had you attempted to change your booking prior to flying, and has nothing to do with claiming a refund. If you don't take your flight, no matter the reason, you are entitled to your taxes fees and charges back, though most airlines charge a refund administration charge which in this case is $35.
