Indeed - slotting in a Band 3b flight like ATH or HEL can be point-efficient, and prices can be reasonable(ish). EDI-LHR-HEL-LHR-EDI would give you 160 points for GBP 570. LHR-HEL-ARN-HEL-LHR would be 200 points for GBP 650, with added bonus of better food than CE if you book on Finnair metal.

As britbronco22 says, it's good to actually go somewhere you want to travel to, rather than have a rubbish day or two flying just to get some points...
