WN Premier Visa. $99 a year with 6000 WN 2.0 points on renewal (worth $100 toward flights). You do have to pay the first year, as far as I know. Pretty good earning with WN partners (3.33% effective), plus, if you spend enough, a Companion Pass for up to 2 years.
One pretty useful card is the Costco Amex, free with membership, offering cashback.:
2% travel
3% restaurants
3-4% on gas.
1% otherwise
