When the FAs close the windows, I open them back up. Simple solution to the problem.

IMHO: 4A/J are the best seats on a 777. Your fellow travelers don't see you back there and the FA's tend to give lots of extra attention to you (4A is first off the plane for the customs line too). Most people prefer the front seats so they don't have to see anyone, but I am very tall and stick up too high up there.
But those seats see the light of the galleys. Last time I was there, I was in 4J and the light kept shining in my eyes when fully reclined. Yes, I guess I could have used the eye masks.
