Its because you are an US Citizen and have a natural bias for Boeing against Airbus. I know its tough for Americans to realize that there is a very capable airline manufacturing industry in "Old Europe" and outside their beloved homeland - land of the free.
Airbus folks do even have TV in their houses and their kids don't have to give the pledge of allegiance every morning in school.
