If you are charging stays to a personal card, definitely get at least the HH am ex. If you are doing quite a bit of charging at hiltons where the bonus 3 points per $ charged would justify the annual fee on the surpass card get that. You also get the 500 bonus points on each stay booked online and Surpass had a promo (not sure if it is still going on) where you got 2,500 bonus points the first 8 or 9 stays.

Depending on your other travel habits, you might still want to keep the platnium card. If you travel international the platnium Am Ex won't have the Foreign exchange fees the surpass has and with the platnium you get the lounge privledges with some airlines.
