I think with any airport it is all hit or miss. At SLC I finally had to opt out. All of the TSOs acted very professional. Two gathered up my belongings immediately and had no problem with me moving so I could see them at all times. My belongings were put on a table in front of me. The TSO doing the pat down, immediately changed gloves. Describe the full procedure before doing it, asked about sensitive areas, asked if I had been patted down before. Then noted again the steps as he did them. He made small talk which was friendly enough that we chatted during the pat down. No delay, no fuss, no problems. All as it should be. Do they deserve a compliment - no. They did their job professionally and as expected. That is what I expect (and paying for).
