Just wondered if there is any history of special offer room rates at the BKK Novotel? Or there is any reseller that can offer better rates than direct with the hotel itself?

I have a 20 hour stopover and would like to be at the airport 8am ish in order to take advantage of the TG F lounge / spa (departure around 12pm).

The best rate seems to be consistently 4000THB++...I'm travelling in 3 months, but the rate at 3 days notice is the same. Same with any websites I look at.

I guess an alternative would be any hotel convenient for the new rail link?

I'm in BKK from 1700 - 1200 and depending on my mood may head into the city at night...no objections going back and forward on the train. Just one person so probably better than a taxi. Never enjoy taxi rides in Bangkok much anyway!
