I need some DL miles for a trip to Portland and was contemplating the miles plus 7 nights award. So based if I go that route we would look to possibly use the nights in the Caribbean in February (wife and 14 month son). Last year we did Aruba Renaissance and the year prior Marriott cayman islands. We are going to the Marriott Surf Club Aruba this November.

I would like to pick somewhere in order to choose the category level needed for the award versus pick something later and have to low or high a category.

Any recommendations?
