SFO-JFK is really bad in Y. That said, I'll do it on red-eyes where I'm sleeping the whole way anyway.

If you have the miles, I'd burn 15k to upgrade to C. In the future, you should consider booking SFO-EWR; those runs are done on traditional aircraft with more room in E+.
