Not sure how these work on the Xoom but I have an Archos 101 and the following doing th trick... UPNPlay and Vplayer from the Marketplace.. UPNPlay is the client that will find the DLNA servers and Vplayer will play pretty much any codec combo out there i.e. all your um stuffz. Vplayer does cost a couple bucks.
Unless they very recently changed things, vplayer does not work on the xoom. I used it to stream RTSP streams off video cameras. It works fine on Gingerbread, but not on Honeycomb (yet).
