If you book non-refundable fares over the phone BA will let you have 24 hours to cancel and get a full refund. Only downside is if you're cancelling to rebook a different set of flights invariably you'll temporarily have twice as much billed to your card while they process a refund. They won't "change" flights at all though, even rebooking on a later flight same day.
